1:10 - My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
1:11 - If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk prively for the innocent without cause:
1:12 - Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down in the pit:
1:13 - We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
1:14 - Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
1:15 - My son, walk not in thy way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
1:16 - For their feet run to evil; and make haste to shed blood.
1:17 - Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
1:18 - And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk prively for their own lives.
1:19 - So are the ways of any one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
24:1 - Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.
24:2 - For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.
24:3 - Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding is it established:
24:4 - And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
"Let's say your friend invites you to a movie which you know is dirty, now, will you say yes or no? If you say no, he's going to call you names, pick on you, and lose respect for you, so you may say yes. Or, perhaps your pal has a girlfriend, and he sleeps with her. Now, you have a girlfriend, but you have never done that, as it is obviously wrong, and God's word goes, right? So your friends, one day, hear this and surround you, saying that you are weak, that you are not a man. Will you let your friend tempt you into doing these things with your girl? Will you, then, after losing your resolve, try to convince your girl that it is "okay?" After all, you'll lose the respect of the guys if you don't do these things. See how Satan nailed three of you in one try? And what if you read something in the Bible, something that God commands against, and it happens to be something you do often? Are you going to stop it, or continue because others would say things?
Well, tell me this: Are you that starved for the respect of men? Or do you wish more for the love of God? Remember that sin may seem good at the time, since it's very nature is addiction, but in the end, sin does nothing but destroy; be it physical, mental, emotional, or such, but always spiritual. But you see, you should never let man influence you. You should never let "what that guy does" or "what that girl does" or "what Brad says" affect your decisions. The only word that should affect you is God's word, and if he has something to say about your current situation, listen to Him. If he commands you against it, then don't do it, even if it means loss of respect or friendship from the others, as God's love is far more important than anything on this world. Also remember that all sin is equal, and there is no "Nah, this one time won't hurt" or "It ain't so bad" sin. See, you may not understand how they can be equal, but they are all equal to God, the only thing that makes them better or worse is our own eyes; the affect they have on our world. Though a liar is just as evil as a thief to God, so never call a sin "small" or "not so bad," we should try our hardest not to sin at all, even if society rejects us for it, as God is all that matters in this world. To close this: God's command always overrides man's opinion, so never let man influence you and pull you to Satan."
